Needle Valves

A needle valve is a type of valve which can be used to regulate or stop the flow of a substance (usually either water or gas), through an appliance or a system.  The controlling feature in a needle valve is a small plunger, with a shape similar to that of a needle.  Needle valves are used in power & chemical plants, refineries, oil & gas exploration, laboratory analysis, etc. and many other uses where precise flow metering is required.

Pressure Seal Valves

Pressure seal gate, globe & check valves are used for high temperature and pressure service (ANSI pressure classes 600 and higher).  These valves feature a pressure seal bonnet, where the body and the bonnet joint seal gasket improves as the internal pressure within the valve is increased.  Pressure seals are commonly used in power generation plants, steam generation facilities, as well as industrial & chemical processing plants.

Floating Ball Valves

Floating ball valves are one of the most widely used types of valves used for industrial applications, and throughout the oil and gas industry. They can be used for many types of liquid applications for on / off service, as well as vapor, gas, air, and hydrocarbon systems.  These valves have a floating ball (connected at the top stem).  They are quarter turn, & can be opened and closed quickly, even in higher pressure scenarios.

2” - 12”

Rating:

ANSI Class 150 - 2500

Body Materials:

Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Low-Temp

End Connections:

Threaded, Socket-Weld, RF & RTJ Flanged

Trims:

316SS

Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves

Trunnion ball valves are more commonly used in various higher pressure applications, and pipelines to start or stop flow.  In a trunnion ball valve, the ball connects to the stem on one end (top), as well as on the opposite end (bottom), to a shaft called the trunnion.  This feature helps to hold the ball firmly in place, in higher pressure situations.  Trunnion ball valves are widely used in the chemical, electrical, oil & gas, & pipeline industries, etc.

Sizes:

2” - 36”

Rating:

ANSI Class 150 - 2500

Body Materials:

Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Low-Temp

End Connections:

RF & RTJ Flanged

Trims:

Carbon Steel / ENP, 316SS

Plug Valves

Plug Valves are on / off valves with cylindrical or conical tapered plugs, which can be rotated inside the valve body to control the flow through the valve.  Plug valves are beneficial because they don’t get clogged, and they can handle corrosive and dangerous materials, as well as high pressure scenarios.  But, they can also require a lot of maintenance and replacement. Plug valves can be used for many applications such as high pressure lines, abrasive & corrosive upstream applications, flow control / isolation, as well as sewage, mud, oil, coal slurries, etc.

Threaded, RF, FF

Types:

Short Pattern, Regular Pattern, Venturi Pattern

Knife Gate Valves

Knife gate valves are designed mainly for on / off and isolation services in systems with a high content of suspended solids.  They are especially beneficial for handling slurry, viscous, corrosive, and abrasive media.  Knife gates are generally easy to actuate, have a relatively low weight, and are cost effective.  Knife gate valves are typically found in wastewater treatment, chemical, mining, & cement plants, food & beverage processing, as well as in many other industrial applications.

Pinch Valves

Pinch valves are full-bore valves that contain elastomer sleeves for flow shut-off & control in applications with corrosive and abrasive slurries.  The sleeve is the only part of the valve in contact with the media, and is a maintenance free part.  The design of the sleeve assures non-clogging shutoff on suspended solids in many industries such as mining, wastewater treatment, chemical plants, pulp & paper, power plants, cement & ceramic, etc.

Resilient Seated Butterfly Valves

Resilient seated butterfly valves are quarter-turn products that are used to start, stop, or regulate the flow of different types of media.  The center disc acts as the closing mechanism, which sits in the center of the valve body, that is set into position by a locking lever. Butterfly valves are designed in lug or wafer style, and offer elastomer seat materials such as Buna, EPDM, and Viton to accommodate different types of process applications used in many industries such as utilities, pulp & paper, oil and gas, marine, petrochemical, fuel systems, HVAC, refrigeration, trucking, etc.

High Performance Butterfly Valves

High performance butterfly valves can be used for shutoff as well as throttling control.  They are designed for general applications, as well as corrosive and viscous liquids, gases, and steam.  For these types of valves, the discs are arranged and positioned off of the center of the pipe bore to decrease wear and tear to the valve as it operates and increases sealing ability.  The two different types are Double Offset, and Triple Offset.

These valves are used in many applications including steam, refining, petrochemical, and offshore oil and gas applications, when longer valve life is required.
